Hi all. My mom is visiting in October. Can she stay in our apartment where she will have a separate bedroom with an ensuite bathroom for her quarantine plan?

Oh sorry forgot to mention. She is vaccinated with a vaccine that is not approved by the Canadian government (Sputnik V).

Follow the guidelines. She will need her own bedroom and bathroom with no contact with you.
That’s the plan that she will stay in a bedroom that has its own bathroom and won’t have any contact with me. It’s just some people were messaging in this forum that you would need a separate entrance like a basement for example. That’s why I’m confused.

3000 sq ft. Covid will spread throughout a 1000sq ft apartment very easily
I thought that would be okay given she will stay in a separate bedroom and will have her own ensuite bathroom. Thank you for your comment!

As soon as she opens her door to get food covid would come out. If you share ventilation that could lead to covid spread, if the door is not airtight then covid can come out under the door, etc. There have been cases where covid has spread in Australian quarantine hotels from people opening their doors. Delta is no joke.
