I have a couple of friends who have AoR in March and are still stuck in the Security clearance stage! I know it sucks, but have no idea how to accelerate the processing time. I have been in such situations and I know it is frustrating, but usually, there is nothing the applicant can do, as far as I know! I Have been living in Canada since 2014 with temporary status (student, worker,...) and can make sure that based on personal experience, the IRCC application process is far from straightforward! There have been times when I applied to renew my visa together with my wife, her visa came in 2 weeks, mine took three months!!! There is no rule in their way of work. Just be patient! That's Ottawa. My AOR is April 3rd, 2021.
Meds and bio passed May 24th and 31st respectively.
Eligibility and criminality passed sometime in May as well. 2 calls to ircc in May and June confirmed this.
What I know is my application has been stuck in security not started in past 3 months.
Is there anything I can do to get this application on the go? Ircc did not request any additional documents but this wait is really holding me back. Please advise.
Thanks buddy. I felt the same way too. They don't have a standard system to process applications. It's basically a "pick and choose" selection. I'm CEC with 2+ years work experience in NOC B. October 15th I'll have 3 years of work experience with the same company.I have a couple of friends who have AoR in March and are still stuck in the Security clearance stage!
