I would like to travel back home for 2 or 3 months. But is there a time limit while on PR status and recently sent the application for citizenship? I sent it on Aug 26-2021. Thank you!

No limit as long as you still meet the RO for PR. If you stay outside for over 6 months you may lose your health coverage.

Hello everyone, my citizenship paper application was received 2021 July 2 and didn't receive my AOR yet. I am planning to travel out of Canada for 2 weeks probably in December. Should i inform IRCC that :
- i’m leaving the country?
- i will have new stamps on my passport?
- what else should i do, to not get in trouble?

thanks a lot!

AFAIK, you don't have to notify to travel outside Canada. As long as you meet the Residency Oblugations you can travel.

Can I leave Canada after I mail my citizenship application?
Yes. You can leave Canada after we receive your application.
If you need to leave Canada and want to stay eligible for Canadian citizenship, you must:
  • make sure that you live in Canada long enough to keep your Permanent Resident (PR) status
  • be a permanent resident (when you apply)
  • not lose PR status before you take the Oath of Citizenship
  • bring your PR card with you when you leave Canada so you can return easily
Make sure your PR card won’t expire while you are outside Canada.

@Rkk92 the goal of letting IRCC know is to avoid getting invited to a test / oath you cannot attend (well, mainly before covid for the test, now it's a 3 weeks window...)
The chances of being invited to a test in December in your case are pretty slim anyway given the current timelines, and you have no obligation to notify them, but there's no reason not to do it, once you get your AOR (and only after you get your AOR).
As for the stamps, doesn't matter.
Also, FYI, I was in a similar situation, got my AOR a couple months before a vacation, sent a web form, and received a test invitation while in vacation, for a test date a couple weeks after I'm back. Sending that webform worked well enough in my case...

Thank you!! My actual passport will expired 2022 Aug 18 and im planning to get a new one while im in vacation. Should i inform IRCC that i got a new passport once i get back? I got told that during the test interview i should show them the new passport! Thanks again for your help.

Have it on you, along with the older passport(s?) that cover the eligibility period, but nah, no need to let them know. You can if you want tho.
