I have submitted an online application for study permit non sds on 26th June 2021 for fall intake 2021. I have completed my biometrics on 1st July 2021. It has been more than 10weeks now and i would really like to know what is the status of my application. I hope you can assist me with the following. Thankyou!

hi , did you get any update , mine too eligibility check is going on

Unfortunately, there are not any update. I think that they are giving the priority to Fall intake.
Although I applied when the processing time showed 7 weeks, I will wait may be a bit more.
I hope there will be updated on my application.

Very strange that we spend more time in waiting the decision than the actual time we will spend in Canada

All this hustle is just for a temporary entry in Canada. We have literally forgot the joy of our success in getting admission/employment and now going through the toughest times instead.

Most of us think that this delay in processing of applications is mainly due to Covid/current afghan situation, but fact is this that after going through old threads, one can easily see how efficiently IRCC were working in past as well

I have applied on line from UAE, for study permit on 28.6.2021. Medical passed on 3rd July. Since then showing reviewing your eligibility and background checks final decision will let you know.

Does all applicants who apply on line from UAE their files goes to Abu Dhabi only

Hi guys...yesterday i sent a webform to Abu Dhabi Visa office regarding an update on my application and they responded back saying the following:

Thank you for your E-mail.
Please note that your application is in queue for review.
Unfortunately due to the outbreak of COVID-19, IRCC processing times and the response to client enquires has been significantly impacted. This is due to circumstances beyond our control.
We appreciate your patience and we will contact you with the next step in due time.
We trust this information will be of assistance.

Actually each application is processed on its own merit and nobody really knows the reasons for such delays.

Like I give you my example. I applied in april 2021. One of my friend who applied 2 weeks later than me, his medical appointment dates are also later than mines and we both have same type of application (postdoctoral fellowship). We both applied for spouse and kids. He received request for additional documents in July and received PPR in August.

I received request for additional documents 2 weeks ago (VO asked me for same documents as they asked to my friend). While my friend is busy in flight booking but I am waiting for decision. Considering this, VO picked my file just 2 weeks ago, however, eligibility shows that it was started on the same day I performed my medical in May 2021.

Sorting of applications by VOs is beyond my understanding. Some get their results in weeks while many wait for months

ME AND MY WIFE APPLIED FROM UAE FOR STUDY PERMIT AND SPOUSE OPEN WORK PERMIT, HER VISA GOT APPROVED. FOR STUDY PERMIT MINE STILL SHOWING ELIGIBILITY UNDER REVIEW, HER CLASSES STARTED ONLINE 7TH SEPTEMBER. ANY ONE HAVE ANY IDEA WHY IS THE DELAY FOR SPOUSE, ?

Before applying to Canada, I had in mind that securing admission in Canada is very difficult. Once you get to admit into University, a study permit is not a big deal. Now I am realizing and experiencing how frustrating and depressive the situation is.

Waiting for PPR after medical exam passed. No, your visa office depends from where you apply and on your application route.
