Everything is completed. Waiting for the oath since end of April.

On Sep 02, 2021 CIC updated everything in mine and my wife’s profile to ‘completed’ except the citizenship ceremony.

Guys anybody knows if one has to be physically present in Canada for the virtual oath ceremony? I have to travel to Pakistan due to a family emergency and I suspect I’ll get my oath invite while I’m there.

Only for Test you can be outside. For interview and oath, you need to be inside.
Travel. Postpone if you get request. Dont assume that you would get oath quickly as its so much backlog that you might even return back by the time they send oath invite. Dont be surprised. Dont have expectation from ircc for quick invite.

I also had another question if someone can answer:
My PR card has expired in July, i had applied for a renewal back in May, however, still haven’t received one. I am travelling today. What are my options for the return.
P.s. my citizenship case is also complete, only Oath remaining.

PRTD, or have someone courier the PR card to you from Canada. See if you can send a webform with your travel plans to get the PR card processed urgently.

Also not sure of the viability of you entering via land from the US with a COPR.

You’re not a citizen until you complete your oath, so your options to reenter will only be as a PR.

Status changed to in progress for everything including background verification which was completed previously....any idea how many months it will take to complete

What means when it says that the tracker is updated today, but there is no update? Everything is the same.

My daughter and I had our virtual oathtaking today. Acquiring Canadian Citizenship has been almost 2 years in the making for me. I even thought of canceling my application since it's been more than a year and no update at all. But when I've made up my mind to just cancel it, a test invite came and from there I knew I was meant to continue this. Some of you are still waiting for an update but what I've learned from this is to be patient and just be patient alone. When it's time, it will happen.

I just want to thank everyone who's been patiently replying to my queries and for other members of this group too. Thanks to the admins who's keeping track of all the updates and patiently updating the tracker too. Hoping and praying for everyone to get their citizenship and may we all be safe during this pandemic..

I can see so many ppl from 2020 getting oath invite. Have IRCC forgotten 2019/2018 applicants :S
