Anybody's COPR expired right after the travel ban was lifted? Mine expired on June 29th and I couldn't travel on such short notice. Now I am worried what'll happen. Tried contacting IRCC but got the same generic response. Anybody in the same boat?

Since your spouse is already a PR, onlythe nsame will have to be added, it will not change the processing since since your spouse will not have to go thourgh criminality, secuirty and medicals.
Thank you @legalfalcon for your reply.
Also in a case where I get my COPR and then I decide to get married. Will I have to get a new COPR issued. Or can I go directly to Canada with my marriage certificate since my wife would be a PR holder

You have an obligation to inform IRCC of any changes to the family composition until you land in Canada and become a PR.

Sent an enquiry via webform and here's their reply:

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

In order to respond to a high volume of enquiries related to the crisis in Afghanistan, we have needed to shift resources in our Client Support Centre. This will impact our ability to respond to some of your enquiries.

We will respond to these priority enquiries only:

· Clients in crisis situations (like those affected by the situation in Afghanistan)

· Clients facing vulnerable circumstances (emergency and urgent requests)

· Clients who need to tell us about a change in their circumstances, which has a direct impact on their application (like marriage, birth of a child, or similar)

· Clients who are submitting documents requested by one of our officers

· Changes in contact information

· Requests to withdraw an application or refunds

If your enquiry is NOT one of the priority enquiries listed above, you will not receive a reply.

If you included attachments with your enquiry, rest assured that they will be added to your file shortly.

So we don't have any way besides calling to know more about our applications? :(

lol.. the fucked up part is: it seems like there will be some bad thing happening in the world and IRCC would focus on helping them and our wait for almost 2 years now would continue.

Hopefully, there won't be an earthquake worth 10 on the Richter scale anywhere soon and the IRCC will say they are shutting down services completely to skilled immigrant applicants in order to dedicate to processing those being evacuated. Such a wonderful country, isn't it? :)
Must be the reason we all love Canada..

Where did they say "not processing" lol? Can we maybe stop being our own worst enemies?

They're saying the Support Team is going to focus on certain queries - does this automatically apply to the processing of FSW/other applications too - maybe, maybe not.

I don't think they have stopped processing FSW-O, most applications are just parked but with decisions already. Try ordering GCMS notes to get a better picture of your application guys.

Let's hope that there will be better news next week! I'm praying. We shouldn't be pessimists much. There's a light at the end of the tunnel, so don't worry!

LOL...they are not even processing GCMS notes on time. Received acknowledgment on July 26th. It's been 44 days and still not processed.
