PR revocation process

Due to some unpredicted circumstances, My spouse would like to drop her PR status.

She would like to travel back to her country
She also did not satisfy the requirement of physical stay(minimum) in her last 5 years.

Is she supposed to apply for PR revocation, explicitly? before she leaves Canada...

It doesn't matter if she applies inside of Canada or outside of Canada. She can do either.

1. No. She would have to be reported by CIC/CBSA for not meeting her RO.
