First of all, I was not suggesting they should email 10 times in one day and NO it won't slow down others' processing time. I'm not sure where you got that fromWhy you are suggesting ppl to do this. At least wait a couple days or a week. Many people receive their credential email 1/2 days after the first email. There is no need to send like 10 emails in one day. It might also slow down others processing time. Imagine everyone doing the same thing.
I applied for PR on January 18, 2019. Almost 3 years ago. Waiting for eCoPR since August 3. Nobody can tell me what is right what is wrong. We have all rights to email, to call no matter how many times. We are here to support each other in this difficult time for all of us. I appreciate all messages. Wish you all to get your PR soon.First of all, I was not suggesting they should email 10 times in one day and NO it won't slow down others' processing time. I'm not sure where you got that from
Second of all, It's because you've received your e-COPR that why. You were among the "many" people that received their PR in a matter of days, you are so lucky that you don't have to wait weeks....
You don't understand that people have their lives planned around getting PR.
People need to travel back home or have an emergency situation to deal with.
There are people literally waiting for over 30days, 50days +, It's a painful wait. Imagine already having to wait over 9 months from AOR to receive a portal email and now also waiting weeks and weeks to receive their e-COPR?
So if I could be the good samaritan to help people, heck yeah I will be that person!
In my case, i was outside Canada when I first got the email to use the PR portal and it was on 29 June/ 2021. I replied to the same email and the concerned officer replied saying that to let then know when I’m back in Canada! I was back on 13 Aug/2021 and replied to the same email the same day! I send one more email 14 Aug/ 2021 and got the credentials email the same day but, I did not get an email with the password for the account. Then I remembered I created an account in the PR portal like 3-4 months ago (this was just for a time pass), used the same password and, everything was setup for me to upload! It took 17 days to get my eCoPR after the account was created. It was only after me sending an email to them one day before the CoPR, explaining my work permit was expiring in 2 months and asking them should I go for a work permit extension (quite not sure whether it helped). I’m a single applicant so there was only one! Thanks! How long did it take for you to receive the eCoPR after you received the credentials and the account created? Is there one letter for each person?
Thanks for the reply. In your email communications with IRCC, were you directly replying/emailing the email address that sent you the Portal Confirmation email in the first place? Is there a real human monitoring/replying to the emails or automated reply? In my case, i was outside Canada when I first got the email to use the PR portal and it was on 29 June/ 2021. Ya, I was replying directly to the email address that they sent the email at the first place and, yes it was real humans monitoring it. They acknowledge you and end the emails with their code names that you commonly see in GCMS notes! It need not be the same person replying to all of your emails. I have got like 2 or 3 different officers replying to the emails. Just make sure that you include the user ID mentioned in the email as your subject. If you go through the first email for the PR portal that you received, they have clearly mentioned to include the user ID when directly replying back to the initial email. Thanks for the reply. I have replied to them yesterday but I didn't receive anything yet.
Thanks and Congrats in receiving your CoPR. By userID did you mean to include one's UCI/Application Number? Furthermore, could you share how do you start the PR card applications (and link them to GCKey)? Do we need to wait until we get the E-CoPR before we can start the PR cards application? One of my friends told me that sometimes they take a week or so to reply. In my case, for the very first email that I got out of Canada, they replied to my queries like in 12 hours or so. But, for the last email that I sent inside Canada, there was no reply at all. It was eCoPR next day!
I already emailed them like 3 times and no one has responded to that either. I dont know what to do anymore. :/Try sending an email to the same address from which you got the portal credentials explaining your situation. It worked for me, even though, my work permit was expiring in 2 months. I didn’t get any reply from them but, got my eCoPR in the portal within 2 days.
i was able to link it for my husband but for me i failed may be because i don't have last name.I tried to link, but the system could not find
