if I send my permanent resident card renewal request, and my new card is sent to my address while I am outside the country, can I return with my old card (not expired yet)?
or is it automatically canceled when the news is sent? thank you

You cannot renew your PR card before 6 months of its expiration date, and it takes 4-6 months to renew it these days. But your question is valid, and I am not sure the answer to it.

It is actually 9 months not 6.

I have done this 5 years ago when I moved back to Canada after staying abroad while my PR card expired. Basically, for the PRTD you need to proof that you still fulfill the PR residency requirements. Once you are back in Canada you simply apply for a new PR card with basically the same information you used for the PRTD. Hope this helps, I am by no means an expert in this.

You cannot enter Canada by air travel or boat with an expired PR card, you will need a PRTD for this. You could try and enter with a car via land border. I guess that would work (not with a commercial bus service though as far as I know).

Application returned by IRCC dated on 25.05.2021 received by me on 17.06.2021, reason photographs and again signing of application as >90 days
Resend application on 24.06.2021

If you are a new PR, you would have a PR card valid for five years. You wouldn't need to renew so soon. There must be something wrong with your dates.
