Hi, I applied for Grade 9th study visa along with my parent in May 2021 and got rejected.
Reason for refusal: Not satisfied that you will leave canada........
I have reapplied on 3rd August 2021 without my parent visa and gave explanation about returning back to home country after completion of study. It has been a month now and no response yet. My school will begin classes from 7th September. Please advise what should I do.
Thanks

If you are a minor you must have a Canadian guardian. Do you have one or it will be rejected again? Have you paid your fees?

My mom has proved sufficient funds for my studies.
Should I pay the fees now and send receipt as a web form? Will this be helpful?

Yes. Where do you live because you will not get a response in a week….months to process. Doesn’t mean approval.

Indian residing in Kuwait
So you don’t live in your home country so that may be an issue. You need to show you will return to India but if you are a minor, you will not unless your parents move back. You are looking at at least 10 weeks processing not including biometrics.

Initially, we received response within 9 weeks. My parents are residing in gulf from past 20 years. I was born and brought up in Kuwait. I have plans to return back to gulf after my studies. Definetly my parents will go back to India but I wish to return back to Gulf only.

As a minor, your parents should be the one applying for you ideally, and they should provide a SOP indicating the reason why they want to send you alone, in grade 9, to study in Canada. Is this how the application was done?

Yes, it was exactly done this way. Still got refused on the grounds saying "not convinced will leave canada...."
In the second application, My mom wrote a letter of explanation and I also submitted SOP separately expressing my purpose of study and return back.

If your only goal is to return to the gulf there are plenty of good schools in the gulf. What is your reason for pursuing studies i Canada? You parents applying with you may have created concerns about your parents desire to move to Canada.

Given the current pandemic situation, expats life in gulf has become really bad. Many schools are closed permanently. No teachers coming from UK / foreign. Hence my parents decided to shift me to canada where I can study peacefully and from some of the top educators and academics in the world.

Only my father had applied visit visa along with me for some major concerns like flight issues and stuff like that... My father has to return back to kuwait as my younger brother is on dependent visa. There is no way my father will stay back with me in Canada.

Anyways, hoping they consider me this time as we did not apply for my dad.

As of now, the school has allowed me to study online. Hoping the decision will come by next month.

I already send a webform requesting ircc to expedite in view of fast approaching school starting date.

Please let me know if you have any other suggestion.
Thanks

Have you paid your fees? IRCC doesn’t expedite visas as everyone wants faster processing.
