Our first email was from VLU and after credentials and upload everything we’ve received a second one with blank signature…

Hi everyone,
We’ve been waiting almost 50 days already for COPR. We have raised web form, sent out a couple of emails and haven’t heard from IRCC. We called them today and we couldn’t reach out any agent, however when they inform the status of our application, it says that they are processing the background check. What is this means? Are they still checking the background or the application is “approved” and the system will be updated once we get the COPR?
Thanks
@T.R2021 If you are invited to portal, your application is approved. My file got transferred 3rd time Edmonton -> Ottawa -> Etobicoke.

Hello Guys,

This thread has helped me a lot. I finally got my PR card.
Here is my timeline:

Category: CEC Inland
Express Entry Profile Submitted: Feb 28, 2021
ITA: March 18, 2021
AOR: June 3, 2021
First Portal Email: July 27th, 2021
Portal Credentials Email: July 29th, 2021
E-Copr Received: August 6th, 2021
PR Card Mailed: August 26th, 2021 (Updated in IRCC GC Key Account)
Card Recieved: August 30, 2021

The last update in my GC Key account for Permanent Resident Application says Medicals Passed. No update after that.
However, my PR Card application under GC KEY shows approved. No update in PR Confirmation portal. Photo still says in review.

If anyone has any questions, I'll be happy to answer. Good luck to everyone :)
Which Visa office issue your PR card? SYDNEY Nova Scotia?

IRCC doesn't have any pattern. Noone can say when you will have COPR or PR Card. I am going to take a break from this forum for my sanity. I will let you know when I got my PR Card. Take care guys.

My pr card is not linking to gckey. What i can do?
@Mpmp

Linking PR Card application;

1. Login into your CIC account as you usually do.

2. Reach the page where you click "Check full application status" to view your application and messages

3. But do not click on that rather click on " Add (link) your application to your account"

4. Select the "Category" from the dropdown as "Permanent Resident Card"

5. Under Application Details, from "Please select one" select "Unique Client Identifier (UCI) and Family Name"

6. Put your UCI as it is NO SPACES and NO HYPHES

7. Put your Family Name as on you CoPR - UPPER and LOWER CASE matter here

8. The tricky one, Place of Birth Section. Here "City/town of birth" is very very crucial. Copy it as it is on your CoPR, any commas, upper/lower case, spaces, just copy it here.

9. Select your "Country/territory of birth" from the drop down

10. Next section is pretty easy as you just select your "Date you became a permanent resident" from dropdown. This is the day you did your landing by either flagpole or landing interview

11. Put "Country of Citizenship" and "Current marital status" from dropdowns.

12. Click "Search for my application", if all the inputs are correct then it will show you that the system has found your application. You just have to click Link my application to account and it will now be shown on "View the applications you submitted" page with your Permanent Residency application.

can I use my work permit visa even after getting PR card. ( in case I go back home and card will be dispatched after I leave)

You can surely try.
Usually once you get the COPR the other permits are not longer valid on the IRCC system.
The airline may check with the IRCC DB the validity of the permit, and if it returns invalid, you can’t board the flight.
Once you are in Canada, they cant refuse you entry as PR. But I would expect some pushback from the officer at the POE.

I've read some people saying claiming it worked for them

So… good luck
