3. IRCC cannot reject applications stating that there is unemployment. Hence all applications will be processed
4. IRCC is working with limited staff and very soon the pending OWP applications will be processed.
5. If the application if from India (CIC Delhi) city unlock is beginning June 7, 2021. Those application which exceeds processing time can raise a webform to get to know the status which mostly is not reflecting in the ircc website.

--Thanks Jeeneet for your detailed reply, since SOWP is an option I choose that one, reunion with family is what Im expecting. just asked if the processing is completely halt or some thing is going on in the backend or not.

I am an international student currently studying in Canada. My wife applied for a Open Work Permit on Apr 14 2021. As expected, no update at all till date. Please post your updates from time to time so that I can have a idea about timeline. I will post mine as well (if any).

I think they are not even processing the applications. No updates for spouse open work permit.

My agent has applied for my application but I don't have any information upto what stage my application is.
is here somebody seeing changes in their timeline ? like medical passed or biometric something recently ?

Please let me know, thanks,

I am the same status but my wife application from 29 June. Did you get update for your wife application? or any one got approved for open work permit??

Hello All. All sowp threads are silent. The processing time has also increased to 26 weeks. I applied sowp in April 2021 with upfront medical. Biometric in July 2021 and it is updated. No further updates at all.

Oh, I did the same process on August 2021, and waiting for their results, after reading this I frustrated, We hope to travel together with our children, but now it's seems impossible. Please let us know if there any update in your process. Thanks

In my case Medical Passes on Oct 01, 2021.
Does anyone know how long they still can take to Request PPR after Medical Passed ?
