Can I renew my passport after receiving a port of entry letter of introduction?

I received the letter of introduction last month. Then I realized my passport is running out of pages and want to renew my passport before arriving Canada. Will the letter of introduction still be valid for a new passport if I bring along my old passport that I used for apply the working visa? Will I be granted the visa at the border? Thanks!

Did you already travel? Did they grant you your permit with the date of your new passport?
