Did you get AOR?Thanks! We're both outside Canada and I'm appointed as a representative. Our app hasn't been returned, they're saying it's still in the data entry stage. Hope for the best

We’re deeply concerned with the rapidly evolving situation in Afghanistan. To respond to the high volume of enquiries related to this crisis, we shifted resources in our Client Support Centre. This will impact our response times to some enquiries.
Its too early to get AOR today, CIO Sydney, NS is open from 8am to 4pm. (8pm - 4am JST) on Monday to Friday.Welp... seems our application is taking (hopefully "took") its time to arrive to IIRC. Application left Japan June 1st via registered mail (not express because of COVID restrictions) and no AOR as of today...
Happy to see things are moving fast for most people here, though. In the doc some people from Outland Mar and April are starting to report receiving the COPR - just 4 months.
The time when I chose registered mail to send an envelop to my partner who also lives in NS it took about 3 weeks to get there from the Netherlands.Well, thanks for checking expectations
You are right in that the package was tracked until it left Japan (June 1st). After seeing the delay in the tracking portal and asking the post office they said Canada and US rarely update the status... would've been good to know that when I was choosing registered mail, I asked to confirm if I could track this internationally, and was told yes.
I had good experiences using registered mail from here to US and Spain. The most common Express mail in Japan is EMS, which has been suspended since the state of emergency was raised. We're still on that state of emergency and EMS is still suspended...
Seems we're crossing the 1 month mark... As long as it arrives, we're good. We're planning to move on April-May 2022, so I'm hoping the package just arrived a bit late and not fallen from the Canada Post truck.
Perhaps I can call in a week or two to see if there is any way to confirm it arrived...
Thanks for sharing. The wild card in play for Canada Post right now seems to be covid restrictions.... Had it been 3 weeks it would've arrived late June. Perhaps that is the case but I'm setting my expectations ready to wait for a few weeks more, before I reset my expectations to wait some more. The time when I chose registered mail to send an envelop to my partner who also lives in NS it took about 3 weeks to get there from the Netherlands.
Usually it would take 2 weeks to send an envelop from the Netherlands and the same goes for Japan.
Sorry for the late reply, Application was received June 28thWhen was your application received at CIO?
What exactly does sending it back by e-mail mean? I had the same problem as you but in our own case we got the page showing what was missing and where and we got the whole paper works in the envelope. This is the second time I am trying to understand this.Sorry for the late reply, Application was received June 28th
The first time I submitted I received a digital copy of my application in an email stating that it is incomplete.
