Hello,
My status for background changed from completed to in progress. Anyone else has this?
I am october 2019 applicant. Test is the only thing shows completed. Edmonton office

Happend to me do it again don’t wait for their email use the same email you got 1st time to prevent further delay

You can follow this advice to save time. I also got 2nd-time fingerprint request with the same email attached as 1st time. There was no date on the attached fingerprint instruction letter. So you can go RCMP office or their authorized agent with the same attached instructions to save your time waiting for the email.

Anyone from Vancouver could tell me what is the upcoming ceremony scheduled here? Maybe I will get an invitation for that day!

I had the same problem with my application. CIC agent had to manually link my email address with the new tracker. Just call them and they will resolve the issue.

Today, I called CIC back to back and eventually they put me on hold. After 30 min on hold when I got to talk to an agent, she told me it was the line for Afghan refugee only and she could not help me. I thought may be by mistake I chose a prompt that took me there. So I called again and again till I was put on hold for the second time. After 40 min of hold, the agent said that we only answer to priority cases and checking status is not considered priority. Explained to him that I am not calling to check my application status but would like to fix the problem that I have with registering online. Agent just repeated the exact sentences that auto response says and refused to help me and hung up. I guess IRCC doesn’t feel obligated to respond to applicants unless they are considered priority cases based on their definition.
Frustrated.

My friend got a response from his MP today that IRCC is prioritizing Afghanistan at the moment. He couldn't get any answers on his inquiry about citizenship application.

Hi there! im from Vancouver and will be attending oath ceremony on Aug 31st but I really do not have an idea how often Vancouver schedule oath ceremony. Based on my experience, I received the invite nearly 2 months after all were set to “completed” (DM in the old ECAS)

Do I need to scan and email or send the copies by post?
Can you also share your experience how long it will take for next step after receipt of the passport copies.

You will never see a government in another developed country act like this and get away with it without being held accountable by the public.. This is so tiring !!!

Then you need to print them out and mail them. It was used to be emailing scanned copies, but for some reason they have changed it to mail.
