PR Renewal During Pandemic

I don't think I've ever received any acknowledgement of receipt. Last time I didn't get it but then they returned my mail because I missed one question. I resent it the next day and I tracked my mail and they received it two days later. Three months passed by and nothing!!! I'm really frustrated.

We are on the same boat. May 2nd they received it and death silence since then.

Frustrating but still under normal processing times. Let's hope for the best.

I tried to call just now - and they needed me to input the "application number". All PR card renewal has to be done via mail and given that we have no AOR, how on earth are we supposed to find the application number? Mine has definitely passed 90 days of waiting and i hear absolutely NOTHING. I thought they would prioritize Hong Kong people.... Sigh.

Its 99 days. And yes of course they want that number, which you have to tell them that is in part why you are calling. You should ask for their advice on whether it should be better to send a new application.

Why would they give any priority to any nationality? Discriminating in any sense based on nationality is illegal.

I applied in mid-May. No update yet. Processing time shows 103 days on CIC website.

That is for people who need to leave HK. As a PR there would be no reason to prioritize HK citizens.

I got an update on Monday saying that they have received my application on Apr 16, 2021. On the account page, my status is: Decision Made. But when I clicked on the link it says "We have started processing your application". So I'm not sure if they've already approved that and the card is being print or I still have to wait for a while. Anyways, the wait time now is 112 days for PR card renewal so... Keep waiting everyone.

I finally received my PR card two days ago, i.e. Aug 24. My application arrived at IRCC on April 16, 2021 and I didn't hear a word from them till early August. Then I waited for about 3 weeks before getting mine. I think yours should be on the way, real soon.

Hi everyone

I’m conveying my experience to renew my PR card via "Urgent path" due to the serious health condition of a family member.

Application sent: 27-08-2021
Application delivered: 30-08-2021
AOR by email: 31-08-2021
Decision made: 08-09-2021
Application approved: waiting
Card mailed: waiting
Card received: waiting

I attached with my application:

- A letter explained the case in detail and mentioned the travel date on Sep 25.
- I also attached the doctor’s reports.
- A copy of the destination country visa, which shows the date of obtaining the visa 24-08-2021.
- Attached the confirmed travel tickets shows the travel date on Sep 25.
- Attached the ticket receipt, a copy of the credit card used for the purchase and a bank statement for the credit card shows the transaction.

Finally and the most important point is writing "VERY URGENT" on the envelope.

This was a summary of my case and I hope to get the card before my travel date.
And I hope nothing bad will happen to your family and loved ones
