Thanks a lot for the answer. I guess we also need to translate and notarize the bank statements if they are not in English?

I did notice the time.. I saw it go from 29 months to 34 while I was preparing my documents, nerve-wracking!
Yes, you should translate everything that is not in English.
Yes, Unfortunately, the processing time was increased from 22 months (when we sent it) to 34 months... I hope it is just estimated time. Fingers crossed

Hello everyone,
One of my relatives is interested to migrate to Canada with family through business migration program. He was informed by an immigration agent that business migration is currently on hold. Is it true? If not, can anyone guide me as to how to proceed? I appreciate your help. Thank you

Привет! К сожалению, у нас нет шаблона для бизнес-плана. Мы наняли профессионала, который нам написал.
Если вам нужен его контакт, дайте мне знать.

Hi all, I am planning for Self Employed visa. As my counsultant informed me that I am eligible though I am doing a full time job. I am into Graphic Design from 20 years and had done my own business for 8 years. I am bit confused on this. Please if you guys can help me to understand. I am getting 83 score out of 100.

- Full time job creative person can apply for Self emplyed visa?
- 33 months as they mentioned is for sure to wait for or it can be lesser on case to case?

Hi there, check this out: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/self-employed/eligibility.html#criteria

You can find most answers on that website, just need to do a bit of digging.

1. Full-time cannot. You have to prove that you're self-employed. Either you own the business or a shareholder, a freelancer so to speak.
2. 34 months is an average, every visa office is different. So we don't actually know how long the wait is, it's definitely longer than 2019, 2018 due to covid... good luck!

Hi all,

I'm preparing to apply for SE too as translator, and hopefully to apply at the end of this year. Anyone has similar occupation? Regarding the narrative finance information & relevant experience, should we make 2 separate files? Has anyone applied through the recent online portal? I've made an account but can't fill in the form yet as I'm still gathering many of the documents required. Thanks! Hopefully, all the applicants in this form get the PR we dream of!

Hi Vicksy, welcome. I recently mailed my application. I am not a translator so can't help you in that regard. The Relevant experience is the part where you should send in as many documents as proof as possible. Anything that proves your experience as a self-employed person. The narrative finance information needs its own documents to prove. But these sometimes coincide, i.e. if you are trying to prove that your self-employed work is earning you income, then yes. For me, I did send in lots of different documents for both sections. Every single project I did and all the proof I had were included. For the narrative for Accumulation of Funds, it's more about money, where did you get those.

BTW, I'm not sure what online portal you were talking about. I thought all self-employed PR applications would be pape-based.. Feel free to send the link so people can check it out.

Hi Ryan,

Please check this link https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/self-employed/apply.html
They are testing an online portal

I wonder what the required formats are for business plan, relevant experience, narrative finance info, narrative for accumulative of funds through this online application. For now, I'll prepare them all in word document.

Q1: As I have had my occupation since 2006, and there are tons of projects I've done, is it safe to provide them only from the last 5 years, let's say 2016-2021?
Q2: Narrative finance info is where we put all our bank account balance, fixed deposit, assets, investments, etc. right?

Hopefully, all users in this forum share their experience while preparing and applying so we can learn from each other.

Hmm.. checked out the link you sent and did not see info on the new portal, strange.. I only saw the same old instruction..

Here, check these out, the early applicants organized this, hope it helps:

Q2: If you're talking about the Asset Section in Schedule 6A, IRCC instructed in the form that you don't need to submit any document as proof, for now, they'll ask for it later if needs be.
