Congratulations on the job.

Sending the job offer will not expedite the process since it does not get you any points. Also, with the job offer, you can apply for a work permit and travel to Canada, a PR is not required per se and there is no need for expediting. This is the rationale of IRCC.
Thank you so much for the reply @legalfalcon .You are the best.Unfortunately the company was more inclined towards PR route than work permit route as they know it will take more time from this point onwards .It seems I have to wait more.Need to do some convincing now as we both were hopeful for expedite processing.

Unfortunately not. However, you can follow up frequently and request your GCMS notes to keep a tab of what is going on.
Hi LegalFalcon, I want to order GCMS note from your website. Which is advisable between IRCC and CBSA these days? Been seeing a lot of waiting around for folks on here.

Both IRCC and CBSA have to release the GCMS notes within 30 days. However, IRCC always has issues with meeting the 30-day time frame.

CBSA is always a better choice, but CBSA can seek extensions on a case-by-case basis or 30 or 60 days.

@legalfalcon : hi. Received CoPR for me and dependent spouse. However the medical expiry mentioned on CoPR is different for us. What do you suggest should I do? is it okay to have the way it is OR should I raise it to IRCC. Thanks.

Hello!
In the beginning June I received request for schedule A. After nearly three months there wasn't any update so I have decided to request CSIS notes. But today I received strange reply that my case is still in progress and therefore the details cannot be disclosed as it is exempt from disclosure under sections 15(1), 16(1)(a), 16(1)(b) or 19(1) of the Access to Information Act, until the process is completed.
So I don't know what to think right now, I have been under ss for nearly two years that is why I would be grateful if you could shred some light to this matter.
Thanks in advance!

Hi Legal Falcon,

My husband and I are both mechanical Engineers by profession and I have made our profile on EE. I’m the primary applicant since my age is less and my IELTS scores are better. Our total CRS is coming out to be 436. I know we don’t have a chance for federal. Just wanted to know what are ourchances of getting LOI on EE profile itself ?

another question. Which provinces can we initiate the application ourselves? I know most of the provinces have a certain criteria like job or canada experience. We have never been to canada or have any canadian degree. I’ve cousins in manitoba and ontario. Our degrees are evaluated by WES and both have 3+ years of education.
My noc is 2132 and my husbands 2141

Waiting for your response. Thankyou so much

Hello @legalfalcon ,

I hope you are doing great. Can you please help me with the below questions?

I had 2 applications running in parallel through Express entry under CEC, which I had submitted one after another.
(I thought one application may reject, so I can have a secondary application as backup).

Both applications have a minimum of 3 months of gap.

1st Application AOR 23rd April 2021
2nd Application AOR 10th August 2021

Now my question is,

1.As I received eCOPR for my first application, waiting for a PR card now. Can I withdraw my 2nd CEC PR application by raising a web form?
Or

Let IRCC start the process for 2nd application, while doing so they will come to know that this person is already on a PR. And then they will ask me to withdraw 2nd one?

2.As 2nd application has not even started, meaning my UCI number is still starts with CANXXXXXX. I believe even R10 has not started.
Will I get full refund? RPRF fees and the processing fees?

Thanks a lot for the help you have been doing.

It does not matter. What would matter is the expiry date on the COPR, you will have to enter Canada on or before that date.

The security screening is a devil if you get stuck and it can take 2-3 years. IF your security screening is in progress, no info will be released as it will be redacted pursuant to s16 of the Access to Information Act.

The only way to get it done faster is by filing a Mandamus. See Almuhtadi v. Canada (Citizenship and Immigration), 2021 FC 712 (CanLII)

For Ontario, you have a good chance to get a loI.

For other provinces such as Alberta, SK, and Manitoba you will have to see if you meet the criteria and initiate the process with those provinces by creating a file and filing your expression of interest.

For SK and AB you do not need a Canadian Job or exp.

1. You can withdraw and ask for a refund of the RPRF. If you do not, it will be closed accordingly anyway by IRCC as you are already a PR.

2. Most likely yes.

Thank you very much for the answer!
So that basically means that my file is currently undergoing some screening? I ask you because I know a person who received CSIS notes but an interesting part is that his wife screening was completed and his screening hadn't started.

I am thinking about Mandamus but I am not sure that this is the right decision right now. I totally understand that court might be not on my side on this one. But if it is and IRCC would have to give a decision in a certain time, can they reject my application on the basic that my security screening is incomplete or/and they don't have enough time to complete and therefor I am inadmissible?

IRCC cannot reject an application just because the security screening is not complete. The only time they can reject is your security screening is not passed, i.e. there are concerns with regard to security leading to making you inadmissible.
