Identity History Summary Checks for police clearance

Hi everyone,

I just applied for the "Identity History Summary Checks" form from the FBI for police clearance. I did it online and sent my fingerprints electronically. From what I understood from the website this is what CIC needs. However there have been few articles saying that I might need something from the state level as well since every state in the US has their own database. Plus the online version of the document I got when I applied for it says that the document does not preclude further criminal history at the state or local level. Does anyone know whether I need any document from the state/local level?

You don't need anything at the local / state level. The IDHSc from FBI is enough!

You can capture fingerprints digitally by visiting any biometric agency near you and have them printed on an FD-258 stock card and send it to FBI office in Clarksburg, WV with necessary payment and application form.
