Can I and my spouse apply for canadian citizenship online separately?

Hi,

Me and my husband are eligible to apply for citizenship. I want to know if me and my spouse can apply for Canadian citizenship online separately? Or it is mandatory for married couple to apply as a family through paper-based? Please share if you have any information regarding this.

Yes ... You both can submit separate online applications but keep in mind that both applications processing timeline can be different

It is more convenient in the sense that you don't have to physically send them a paper copy of the application in which you have a higher chance of making a mistake and getting your application returned.
The processing speed of both online and paper-based is almost similar.
