Hi folks,
My DLI is located in Alberta. If I am coming from outside Canada, can i take flights to Toronto/Vancouver and then travel to Alberta via a different domestic flight on the same day? Will immigration question me that why did i not take direct flight to my destination city?

Also, sorry if this question has already been posted, please share the relevant link as i couldn't find it by myself. Thanks

There won't be any problem with this arrangement. YYZ or YVR then connect via WestJet/AC or any other regional flight is normal.

Thanks @Simba112 for your reply. Do i have to book the connecting flight beforehand or can I also do it after reaching YYZ or YVR? Also, where will I have to do the immigration formalities? at YYZ/YVR or my final destination?

Immigration will be at the first POE, in this case either YYZ or YVR. Normally Border Agents may or may not want to know your domestic travel arrangements, but with current situation I would advice you to book it before arrival just incase they ask you to see if it corresponds with details you filled on my ARRIVE CAN app. To be on a safe side

Oh yes, I completely forgot about the Arrive Can app formalities. They might question me about my further journey. Thanks
