“currently they are processing files of : May 30th to June 5th (Updated on 17th August)”But that’s for inland applicants though. And they require 2 weeks more than outland applicants according to the processing time. So shouldn’t that be 2 weeks faster? Also, I thought SDS is supposed to be faster? I know SDS people get approved within weeks. Those timelines are just for non sds
No, some of the SDS applicant have been waiting longer also. Checkout the threads on SDS or the signatures of the members posting. Its varies a lot.

Have you tried sending emails specifically to Shanghai office? I read it on Zhihu and people said it works, though the posts were made in the beginning of 2021, not sure if it still works or not.

Yes, complete file including biometrics completed
So do we count nine weeks from the day we appeared at the VFS for biometrics? Or the day the biometrics was updated on our application portal? I went to my local VFS on May 24th but IRCC didn’t upload my biometrics until July 8. Does that mean I’m meant to count 9 weeks from July 8? OH NO!

So, your biometrics got updated on July 8, at the same time you received bvl?

I also made a mistake when I read this page, but its mentioned there 'In Canada' so out-land files are on average 9 weeks processing timeline. So what you have mentioned is for in-land and wont apply to us. Can anyone else confirm this?
all SDS files are being processed in Canada. and non SDS in home country

Yep, they clearly mentioned they consider processing timelines from the day the biometrics are completed. But that is a average, so dont worry.
