ITA Document Upload

I've received my ITA and currently uploading all my docs to apply.

Within my personalised document checklist, I'm not being asked to upload my IELTS certificate, or OINP nomination letter. I've checked and both are in the Express Entry profile. Is this normal? Surely they want to see both of these things!

Also, it's a bit strange to only upload one doc per line item - does everyone just merge their docs together to submit?

Really don't want to make any mistakes!

Merge all in one document, upload IELTS in education section.
Not sure about OINP.

OH WOW your IELTS how is that even possible? nice.

Thanks, UK native so I revised the structure but found it fine!

I wonder if they have access to IELTS and province nomination records (the letter is in my EE profile in messages) already hence not needing - it's a bit strange.

There's no section for 'Languages' to upload, seems strange to upload to education too.

They have access to both. You have 600 points that only a nomination can give you.

Even though they have access to ielts records with your name, exam date and trf number, most people choose to upload ielts in education section just in case.

Thanks, super helpful. For education, I'm assuming I upload ECA and don't need to add my transcripts or degree certificate. Although they'd already have the ECA electronically too so perhaps they do want to see additional docs. I have the transcript but not the cert, long lost ages ago!

I'm sorry, but I can't answer that. As far as I know ECA is not mandatory because they have access to them, but I've seen that many people also choose to upload it with educational documents. I think that you need to upload your transcript and degree certificate. You may have to ask an expert about that or check if you can get a new certificate.
Didn't they ask you for your certificate and transcripts for OINP?

No worries, nope - just the ECA
According to the IRCC webpage:
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/permanent-residence/express-entry/applications-received-on-after-january-1-2016-completeness-check.html

  • To receive program-specific points for education, the applicant must either
    • provide proof of having completed a Canadian secondary or post-secondary educational program; or
    • obtain an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) and provide the ECA reference number in their application, along with proof of the foreign educational credentials for which points are being claimed.
  • Proof of completed Canadian or foreign educational credentials can include copies of
    • secondary or post-secondary education documents (certificates, diplomas or degrees); and
    • transcripts for successfully completed secondary or post-secondary studies, if available.

I think you should try to get a copy of that certificate from the place you graduated from if it's possible. Otherwise, you will have to make a STRONG Letter of Explanation of why you couldn't upload your certificate.

A professional may be able to help you more with that.

Try asking @legalfalcon in his thread.

Thanks, I've found an official diploma supplement and I have an email from my University stating they cannot replace certificates due to Covid - I think that should suffice.
