Yes you can call them and ask for TFN.
They will ask you to provide your information like uci number, address

Did you receive something? when did you apply?

Last I called at the end of June, they informed me that they have nothing in the system for me which means my envelope was still unopened in mail room.
I sent my application at the end of February
