PR card timeline (Etobicoke office only)

Hi all,
I have been checking this post for almost 1 week now. May I ask when you mentioned the GU, was that from the original application where you got the PR approved and the COPR number? or it would actually create another application? Thanks.

My status:
PR Approved Date: 2021/3/27
COPR letter: 2021/4/1
Send Photo to IRCC office: 2021/4/1
Photo Delivered: 2021/4/7

Still getting nothing...

Hi,
No, you need to link the PR card application to your CIC account and monitor it. Your original PR application is closed once you receive your COPR and new PR card application starts automatically. It has different number.
Try to read this thread more. It was explained may times here how to link your PR card application. Some people struggle to guess how their city of birth is spelled and this is often reason why they cannot link the application. You can also call IRCC and they can advise you the PR card application number and help to link it.

Any of you got an update? Nothing for me so far. Sent a webform a week ago but got no response. Tried calling but couldn't talk to anyone yet, will keep trying though. Also sent an email to the Etobicoke office but got no response...

Nothing for me either. I emailed Etobicoke VO few days ago and the sent a generic reply that they are working on photos received in March. So hopefully will hear soon from them.

My timeline:

• 24 March 2021 - Received CoPR via email attachment. 1 Year validity.
• 25 March 2021 - Mailed pictures for PR
• 26 March 2021 - Pictures delivered to Etobicoke IRCC

PR card in the mailbox Aug 8th.

my wife and one of my kids did not receive the PR card yet !! ( I am the main applicant, only me and two kids received the PR cards).

is there a place to worry ?

Today I received eCOPR and at the same time my application was updated as approved in my IRCC account. It always becomes approved at the same time when eCOPR issued?

It seems like there is no fixed timeline for people who have applied for PR card via post. I know many folks who are waiting since Jan 2021 and have not received their card. Since a lot of people are curious to know the process and timeline, I have created a WhatsApp group so that we all can keep ourselves updated.

depending upon where you live, 4-5 working days
you can check canada post website about it. Put in sydney postal address and yours, it will tell you how many days.

Yes you can link your application, even if its initial card.

I have seen many families who put in pictures in the same envelopes, but end up having pr card mailed at different dates.
