Hello everyone.

I'm going to re-apply for my study permit for Jan'22 intake but my IELTS is going to expire in Oct'21. So, should I retake my IELTS test and apply for the permit with new score, or should I just apply before Oct (cause my agent told me that our IELTS score should be valid at the time of applying that's it. So I do not need to get a new score if I'm applying before Oct).

Any help would be appreciated.

You may and may not be asked for a new IELTS while your study permit is processed. We've seen both cases happened. And what is your IELTS score?

For Jan 2022, apply before October is a good idea.

I got 7.5 in each module and obv overall 7.5 lol

To be on the safer side, applying with a new score would be good, right?

If you apply before the expiry (at least 1 month), you should be fine. Only thing is, if you get rejected (hopefully not!) and need to re-apply you would need a new one - assuming you are applying under SDS or from India.

Yes. I already applied under SDS and got a refusal in August. So, re-applying again after deferring for Jan'22 intake.

I can apply without the new score, right?
