Adding newborn child to Application

Let me share my experience here with you all. In case the baby was delivered after submitting your application, they will send a request letter in your account. This will be about pending xray for your wife and new born baby's birth certificate along with medicals. These will be based on the EDD for your wife.This means you would have submitted all the relevant documents when you first got your ITA and a request letter stating that your wife is pregnant and she is expected to deliver so and so date. Once they send you the request you for the above mentioned documents they will add another column in your submitted application in your account with upload docs option.Once you collect all your documents you will upload all of them there.

It took them 6months to update my account with additional documents request.
I first submitted my application on Aug-8th 2018.First time i got any reply from them was on dec13th,2018.
They sent a Request letter in my CIC account and asked to submit all the docs by 7th March 'cos my Wife's EDD was march5th.
So they gave me exactly a month to submit New born's Birth cerificate,Wife's Xray, and baby's medicals,Passport scans.
Along with these you will have to submit Imm000 and imm5406 with all the details again.
Imm0008 they asked me to submit the copy with Original signature of the principal applicant.
After all this i am waiting to hear from them.

Thanks. But my wife already did her xray and all that.Just waiting for child's delivery so we can do the baby's medical and get passport

Send a mail to CIC-CTD-ottawa@cic.gc.ca Request to know your VO. Write your Application no, UCL, DOB, last and first name. They may not answer you immediately but after some weeks your VO may respond.

I am glad that you shared your experience here, i want to ask you that your wife's edd was 5th march and the deadline to submit all docs was 7th march, then dont you think its too close to get all documents,

can you clarify the timelines as Im in same situation, also when did u get your PR application approved after submitting the docs.

My new born is added as dependent under my name but
1. They did not send medical exam request, what I should do ( upfront medical or wait for request)
2. There is no place holders under baby's name to upload documents just the name and UCI. Where to upload documents?

you are lucky they already added baby to your profile, just wait for further instructions , they normally dont add baby before getting babys documents:medicals, passport,birth certificate, fees etc.

Then you dont have to worry, babys medicals r just a formality, they may have waived it, bcoz baby is already added to your profile, if it was really necessary they would have requested you before adding baby to GC account. I would just wait for some time, or you can call them and ask agent, but i believe he will tell u the same. I think upfront medicals is only gonna create confusion and delay in processing.

How did you send the documents for adding your child as dependent via Webform (CSE) or they created a document request in your account?

I sent the documents through webform firstly, then they opened up a kits application folder to do it again, so i uploaded there again

1. For imm008, did you submit the online validated PDF form or did you print, add your signature and the upload the scanned document?
2. How long did it take for the visa office to open the kit application folder after submitting the documents via webform? My visa office is New Delhi, not sure how long they are going to take!
3. How long did it take for your child to appear as dependent in your account after submitting the documents?

My VO is ottawa, so cant say about NDVO, shouod be similar timing considering covid pace

I am in the same situation new born added 2weeks before but no medical request.I am keep changing the medical appointment date thinking once i get the medical request i can take it.Can you please let me know if you got the medical request by now or direct PPR and copr?

you dont need to book apointments for medical test unless requested by ircc, just ve patient abd wait for their instructions.
I am waiting for PPR

I've been asked to upload documents for adding my child to my application, However, in my online application, I am unable to upload these documents due to technical issues in the IRCC system. The upload option next to the document is missing or not working due to which I have not been able to upload the documents in my online application. I have tried using different computers as well as cleared my caches/cookies to see if it would help but there has been no resolution to the issue. Anybody faced any similar issue, please let me know what to do I have only until 01-Oct-2021 to upload the documents to my online application
