For me, its nature, infrastructure, culture, close proximity with the United States, citizenship, security, being able to live independently are the main reasons for wanting to move to Canada.
I care for none of those things except citizenship, everyone has their own reasons to immigrate I guess.

I know, I've lived in Canada. As I said, housing in Canada is just stupid but all things considered, it's justified by my standards. That applies to my situation though. We have folk here who want to immigrate to Canada from developed European countries. I imagine their answers would be different.

I desperately want the US, the UK, or Germany to offer an outland route for immigration lol I'd go with it how ever hard it is.
Pretty sure it will be easier to immigrate to those countries once you become a citizen of Canada.

Just hope the fourth wave does not affect the resumption of FSW draws. That's what I care about tbh :)
Logically, we wouldn’t land Canada till probably late 2022 (at the earliest). Ideally, a 4th wave shouldn’t affect draws but it’s IRCC’s call; we wait and see

i would rather care more about the possibility of border reopening by September than a 4th wave. Hopefully hospitalizations and deaths stay low

Eh you gotta admit Canada offers some true peace of mind if you have any sort of permanent status with at least a somewhat decent job (not hard to find in Canada). Low crime too. Affordability is not bad other than housing but in many "likeable" places in the world right now housing is never cheap anyway. But other than "peace", you're right, there aren't so many advantages other than getting the citizenship. My motivation for wanting to move to Canada is to have some peace. I know I'll never have a better job there than I do here, I'll have more difficult time with banking and health there, I'll lose all my friends and family and end up alone; still, I need some peace of mind lol.
How is banking in Canada shitty? I lived in Canada in 2017 and banking is 1000 times better than what we have in my country...
I can't imagine how good is the banking in your country to say that banking in Canada is shitty.

It's crazy good over here man... So maybe my standards are high. I've personally heard more people who don't like Canadian banking than who do.

Border restriction should not affect draws too as we land in late 2022 as you said, but who knows when it's about IRCC's logic?

They are not processing outland applications due to travel restrictions. If they conduct all program draws it means they immediately have to start processing the new applications which they obviously don’t want to do till restrictions are lifted, as speculated/revealed in recent documents released to the public.

So according to what you say next all programs draw should be on September 15? considering that they're willing to fully open on sept 7.

When you visit a network service’s social media platform, you mainly see disgruntled customers making complaints in the comment box. The happy satisfied clients are probably home enjoying the service lol. It’s a similar scenario here in this forum, 98% of people are here because there’s a problem :D
Those who don’t have problems with the service are already silently in Canada :D
True that lol

Could you give me some examples?
What benefits do you have in your country?
Transactions of any kind are always instant 24/7 and you can do literally everything on mobile (including taking considerable amount of loans). I haven't seen a branch in 5 years. Customer support is 24/7 and is fantastic. Credit cards are very good with high limits. Not sure if it's similar with other banks here but my bank keeps spamming me with offers lol, like credit card limits, loans etc. Those I can remember right now.

Interest is shit though.

IT in general is really good in my country, not just in banking. I can confidently say we're 50 years ahead of Canada in IT (both using and building it).

Currently it seems that initiatives like this are being rolled out to encourage more vaccinations and prevent future lockdowns. But only time will tell how it all pans out in terms of resumption of FSW draws, processing of existing applications etc.
