Can I come back to Canada if I have a work permit

So I have a work permit that's valid until March 2024. I was doing a job, left it, and now going to Bangladesh (my country) due to an emergency. My question is, will Canada allow me to enter if I want to come back after a month or two? I mean as long as I have a VISA, I should be allowed to reenter Canada correct? I mean my work permit will not get cancelled if I go to Bangladesh right?

I don't have a VISA currently and will be applying for one. I should apply for visitor visa correct? Once I have the visa and I already have a work permit, canada will let me enter it right? And I should get a visitor's visa right?

Is it a closed or open work permit? If closed, you need proof of employment to re-enter.

You need a TRV or visitor visa too. You need to show proof of funds.

You can’t work if it is a closed work permit. You just need a TRV. if you are not leaving Canada for a few months then apply inland for TRV. Check processing times online.

Well my work permit is open, so that issue is resolved. Unfortunately I will be leaving soon. Processing time is actually longer inside Canada (180 days) than it is from Bangladesh (85 days).
