Hi,
I have a question regarding my PGWP extension. My PGWP expires on 31st October, 2021. I have applied for extension on 1st July, 2021 which seems like under the 4 month window. But I received a confirmation which says I am eligible to work until 29th October, 2021. I calculated, its 120 days from 1st of July. Shouldn't I be eligible to work until 31st October as per my PGWP
So, did I apply outside the 4-month window required?
Should I cancel/withdraw this application and apply again?
I have sent a web form for it as well. But it says I won't receive any reply if I am still in the processing time period, which I believe is around 4-5 weeks.
And the last day to apply is 27th July, 2021. So, I can't wait until the decision on this application before applying again.

Hi have you got the approval for your PGWP extension? I think that's just a confirmation letter that ensures you can work for several months while it is in the processing

No, I am still waiting for it. That might be true. I called IRCC and they told me to submit another application just in case, and if any of the two is processed, apply for the withdrawal of the remaining application.

It is just an automated email with extension assuring you/employer that you can continue to work under the same status until they make a decision on your application.
Please let us know when your application gets approved.

Ofcourse, I'll update with the status of application. Now, I have two ongoing applications, one on 1st July and second on 19-20th July. Its almost 42 days since the first application. I hope that it gets processed in this or by next week.

Alright, thanks!
I applied on July 9, so it is somewhere between your 1st application and 2nd application.

So, my first application was processed on 12th August. It was withdrawn as I had requested it previously. So, looks like its ~45 days time period for processing the application.

Your first one looks relatively fast, just 45 days. I found many people who submitted in the end of May just got processed last week.... Does it vary from different office...?

Really, that long. I thought the processing time was somewhere around 45 days previously. Looks like its more than that now. And, I am not sure if the different offices might affect the processing times.
