Dear @legal falcon

What are the Chances of getting a study permit at the age of 45 yrs to pursue masters in canada?
If so with one year master degree can we apply Pnp or Pr as soon as graduation is completed? (Including previous experience out of the country)
Can anyone suggest few good ranking Univ for One year MBA in BC!

Dear @legalfalcon
This is a scenario of a friend of mine ,
Spouse not co operating for divorce , separated since six years, civil cases in process, will this affect career or immigration in future ?

when applied for PR is the principal applicant required to submit health examination reports or police verification reports for child/ spouse ?

As we see previously many times ircc has been asking to provide child docs even after the applicant does not want to sponsor the child since spouse is non cooperative!

what kind of documents should be provided to immigration as proof in this case where the spouse is non- co operative?
Firstly Can the applicant choose not to sponsor the child based on the current situation? And opt for when things resolved.

Under the immigration law, all family members accompanying or not have to be admissible to Canada for medicals, criminality, and security.

If the couple has not yet divorced but has filed a divorce petition before the family court, the same can be filed as evidence to show that the documents are not available for the spouse and any minor children.

It depends on a number of circumstances and age alone is not a factor.

Hi @legalfalcon , thank you helping out with answering queries on this forum. I have a question and would appreciate your input on this :

Me and my wife received our COPR around December of last year with a expiration date of end of August, 2021. However we couldn't travel due to the travel restrictions in place till June 2021 and then my wife was due for delivery in first week of august, 2021. Since my list of dependents has changed now with our newborn after the issuance of COPR, I believe I will have to notify IRCC about the change to have my newborn added to the list of dependents and I cannot travel using the current COPR. Is that correct ?

Can I do this by reaching out to them via webform ? Will I be issued a new COPR with new validity ? I understand I will have to get the medicals done for my newborn and submit other documents such as birth certificate, passport etc for the newborn and this will incur additional processing time. But I just want to make sure that I do not lose the COPR entirely. Any inputs would be much appreciated.
Yes, if your family composition has changed, you have to inform IRCC of the same and submit the documents for your child. Your child's documents for medicals and forms will be evaluated and you will be issued new COPRs for all family members.

The current COPR will be cancelled, the file will be reopened and after the additional documents are evaluated, it will be approved again.

Adding a newborn is fairly quick since they are not subject to criminality and security, only medicals. It takes 1-3 months. However, make sure that you submit a revised PoF if your previous PoF on file falls short.

You can inform IRCC by sending a web form.

Hi @legalfalcon , asking this for a friend , he is January aor 2020 and three months ago he was asked for an updated address and he submitted that and again he was asked for an updated address. So the question is whether this is normal and nothing to be worried about. Highly appreciate your thoughts.

Sir , so do you suggest that this is not a correct idea from just age point of view?
Can you please elaborate on other factors to make a better decision?
In terms of admission, I have contacted couple of universities for them profile seems to be positive, other than that I have no other issues, just want to know from visa perspective clearly.

Hello @legalfalcon , I have submitted my application for study permit to Abu Dhabi visa office on February 14th 2021 and biometrics completed on February 18th 2021. Although it's been 6months I haven't received any updates on my application and on my GC key portal my eligibility review hasn't started yet. Also due to covid reason I had to leave the UAE permanently and move back to my home country. Therefore I am enquiring, should I submit a webform in reference to the change of address? Will this update complicate my profile or will it give me a better chance for an approval?

You can instead file a family sponsorship application for your spouse and during that time apply for a SOWP.

If you have moved, you should inform IRCC immediately.

Also, have you requested your GCMS notes?

Studying at any age is possible. However, in terms of a visa, you need to show that the education justifies the cost, you have opportunities after graduating, the education should fit in your career progression, financial ability etc.
