i’m a PR and I’m currently outside Canada. Im wondering is there a rule that says you can’t stay outside Canada for more than 6 months ?
Or is the only requirement is 2 years out of 5 ?
Thank you

There isn't any 6 month rule. However, you should still meet the residency obligations for Permanent Residence (Physical presence in Canada for 2/5 years).

Yes, but then you need to return to Canada and not leave for two straight years to meet the residency requirement. This is generally a really bad plan since most people find they have reasons why they need to travel outside of Canada during that two year period.
If you want to apply for citizenship - the three year out of five applies:In order to apply for Canadian citizenship you must: ... Have lived in Canada as a PR for at least 1,095 days out of the 5 years before you apply.
