Processing time of PRTD application submitted electronically(by email)-VAC closed-INDIA

I got the email from VFS with Tracking ID and AWB number. It was delivered to VFS Bengaluru on 2 Aug and took 6 days to receive this email.

How can i get my AWB no. ? The passport has been shipped by vac delhi a day before yesterday but i did not receive any tracking no. For bluedart.

Your tracking ID is enough. Please use option as reference number instead of AWB to search for the tracking number.

I have applied prtd on H&C grounds on 7th June...... have not received any update till now..... should I contact them through webform or wait...... pls suggest the best ways? Is there any other ways to know abt application status updating.

It will take many months for PRTD via H&C. It is not uncommon for it take 6-12 months to receive an answer. It really depends on how complex the situation is an the evidence included of your H&C situation. If you received PRTD based on H&C in 2016 and never moved Canada that will be a big obstacle to overcome unless you have extremely strong proof as to why you could not relocate to Canada. There are no processing timelines when it comes to PRTD applications based on H&C

Just received my passport in hand with PRTD stamping which is valid with multiple entries until June 2023.

Anyways I just need this for one-time travel as I am almost a citizen with an oath ceremony is pending.

Ok. I just checked my cic account now. My application is approved and counterfoil is generated. It got stamped today.But I didn’t got any email or Sms just checked my cic account randomly. You also check your cic account.

hey.. don't worry. it takes some time for you as yours were moved to Banglore. i think it is just long travel in your case. you should see more progress in this week

Who else planning to travel this month or early next month?

I had Air India direct flight to Toronto from Delhi which was canceled multiple times and the new scheduled date is on 12th Sep.

So I am hoping for the ban to end on August 21st. if not I will have to re-book with the connection.

What your guy's thoughts on travel??

Just don’t worry. U will get it soon. Make sure u linked correct file to cic account. Because both PR card and PRTD application numbers start with R*********. I have linked 2 files to my cic account. One is PR card and another PRTD. Just double check if you are checking right thing.

My air canada flight also got reschedule mutiple times. Finally a month ago i refunded it and received all money back. I checked in one tweet from air canada direct flight will resume after 4 September. I think it will be better to book indirect route if someone don’t want to wait.

hmm ok. I think I will check more and will book another flight to go soon.

I am in a situation that I need to travel as soon as possible to submit a sponsorship application for my wife. We got married in Dec 2020. We did not plan but my wife got confirmed with pregnancy last week. so I want to travel as soon as possible.

We also filed a Visitor application in Feb and biometrics done in July and eagerly waiting for the outcome.
