Change of career path when applying to study permit

Hello everyone

Actually I wanted to study personal support worker program.. I do not have any nursing background or experience however I studied CPR and first aid before as part of a volunteering experience and I have customer service skills as well. Would that be a good justification that may convince the Visa officer of why I would like to change my career path? Or is better to study something that is related more to my previous work experience so i can increase the chances of acceptance?

Depends on your profile, age, career opportunities in home country, advancing career. Knowing CPR is irrelevant as that it is a weekend course. same with customer service.

Looks like you are in your 40s and have been trying to immigrate via economic pathways. It would make very little sense for someone to change professions and go back to school to be a personal support worker.
