Hi Friends,

I am 26ys and Ive been working in the special needs field for 4 or 5 years now. I have a Bsc in psychology with counseling skills. My overall score is 390 and I've been trying to migrate to Canada for nearly 4 years now, with no luck every year. My goals and ambitions seem quite far away at this point. Is there anyone who is an ABA therapist/ Behavior therapist that migrated to Canada? I would appreciate your input.

cheers

Best path is to come to Canada on a study permit to complete a Master's degree in your field and then qualify for a post graduate work permit so that you can gain work experience in Canada. This will give you the most realistic path to PR.

Hey Scylla,

thank you for your response. I hear you, I tried applying for a Masters program as well but to be honest the fees for intl students are crazy expensive. However, I am thinking of pursuing a post grad certificate. Do you think thats another suitable option?

Masters is always better but you can also go the post grad route. Make sure the program is at least two years in length (not a one year program). Also make sure your planned studies in Canada make sense in light of your previous education and work experience.
