hello, does anyone know the chances of getting denied another visitor extension? mine is about it expire in a few weeks and me and my husband are almost done completing my sponsorship paperwork. any suggestions on what to do if it expires before we get the sponsorship paperwork in?
No one can give you the chances. It will depend on how long you've been in Canada, how many extensions you've applied for, if you could have submitted the sponsorship application a long time ago or only qualified recently, etc.
Generally speaking, extensions are approved in these situations. You should mention that you are very close to submitting the sponsorship application and are requesting the extension just to give you a bit more time. As long as you apply for the extension and IRCC receives the extension application before your current allowed stay expires, you'll have implied status when you submit the sponsorship application. If you're applying inland, make sure you include an OWP application with the sponsorship package.
