Entry visa to India for new born to Indian parents in Canada (No OCI)

Hi, I am sorry if this question was asked before, please share the link if this was answered already on this forum.
I have a new born and would like to travel to India in next couple months. We don't want to apply for OCI yet. Does anyone know if the Indian high commission is issuing entry visa these days? I know tourist visa issuance is suspended.

It’s better to call either the Indian Counslate or Embassy and inquire about obtaining visitor visa to India for your new born.

You can apply for Online Multiple entry visa. OCI is better any way as you are one and done

Should only travel if you are prepared to potentially get stuck for a period of time. Would also suggest speaking to your GP about the risks of the newborn flying with covid and other viruses given they can’t even wear a mask. There is also a resurgence of diseases like RSV and other childhood viruses and cold now that children are having more contact with each other. There was very few cases of things like RSV but outbreaks have already started.
