That ghost update in the tracker I reported yesterday turned out to be a good sign for me – Physical Presence, Language Skills and Prohibitions have been updated to Completed today. Oath not started. Decision made in ECAS. I am so happy!!!

Hope other guys who have recently received similar ghost updates will also get their real updates soon! Good luck!

1- i have my background verification to complete on April 19, 2021 ... anyone who approximate between that and the test invite ?
2- can we take the online test while we are out of the country ? or i have to be in canada

1. Not me.
2. Yes, you should be able to do that. Once you receive the test email, follow the instructions on the website.

If you get your invitation and plan to take the test while you’re outside Canada, send an email to the address in the Eligibility section of your invitation.

In your email

• put “Outside Canada – Citizenship Test” in the subject line
• in the body of your message, include
  • your full name
  • your application number
  • the start and end date for your test

We’ll contact you with your next steps after we receive your email.

Have not been checking my status for the past few weeks. Went on today and super excited to see the updates:

Jul 7 - Prohibitions + Physical presence + Language skills all updated to Completed.
Jul 8 - Citizenship Oath updated to In Progress

Citizenship ceremony booked for Sept 7 - although no email has been received with details yet.

CIC checks on candidates if they are desperately checking status multiple times a day or not. If they are not desperately checking online status then they send DM and Oath fast. Good that you knew that. Congrats.
