I wanted to see What people who were stuck because of covid had to do the delivery here are writing in the letter of explanation. Do you have anything worthwhile to tell me instead of these questions you are asking?

Same situation as everyone here. A few questions:
1. Purpose of travel: I chose "Other" and I was planning to put "COVID-19" as the description. But there is no description box. Is this a technical issue?
2. Representative and release of information: I chose "representative" option only. I am planning to fill up form imm5476 and sign on behalf of the baby while my wife signs on behalf. @divxthegreat is that what you did?
3. There is only one letter of explanation, which should cover everything from the choice of the representative to the reason why my baby's visa should be granted on compassionate ground, right?

Hello All,

I alongwith my wife and elder daughter are Canada PR holders, landed in Nov 2018 and currently in Qatar. We had another kid in 2019 (born in India) and now since we intend to travel to Canada in July 2021, the younger kid would need a TRV.

I am seeking help and guidance on my concerns:

1. Is paper based application good or online is a better option.
2. Can I file my kids's trv application from my cic login account? Or create a new one for him (on his behalf)?
3. Is letter of invitation required? In my case I do not have close friends etc. Or can I (as PR) issue the letter to my kid ?
3. Can someone please send me the LOE that you had used during your application to derive my application from.

Your guidance will really be helpful. Thanking in advance.

Okay. We applied for our kid around the same time as yours but haven’t heard anything from CIC yet. Have you submitted a webform for the exemption of travel request? Also, since you mentioned Family Class sponsorship is in progress, I assume one of the parents is in Canada. Am I right?

Hi, I am in similar case as most of the folks here. Myself and Wife are PR. Baby was born outside of Canada since COVID pandemic affected our move plans. Currently in Singapore and applied on May 27. No updates as of today.
