I think we shud also start a thread for those who really feeling down n hopeless in that moment. Where people can share how restless they r feeling and others can give em some hope n strength to keep going on. Fortunately the past few days hav been really going good for me with spirits high coz August has started, but trust me when i say there r those days wen i lose patience n get restless n don’t know what to do. Maybe we can help each other go thru those feelings by sharing positive happening n updates even if so little.
This is that thread mate:)

How long can these people be on vacation?
They do have to come back to work right?
They would have used all their vacation days by now.
The pandemic was a problem last year, this year its become just an excuse to do whatever they feel like. Before covid hit they had deadlines, before which they had to complete the processes. But they can just do what they please coz they don’t have any liability to time anymore. But still they do have a Responsibility. And they shud do the right things. Hope they wake up soon.

Hello everyone,

I want to say to everyone who's waiting for their FSW ITAs that it will happen. Please do not lose hope. An ITA may not come in our planned timeline but it will happen - one way or another. It took me 1.5 years of waiting (after losing 10 points due to age) but i did get my ITA via Ontario PNP a few weeks ago. However, during those 1.5 years, I lived in hell. I felt anxious, scared, hopeless and angry all the time. I almost forgot to live in the present, but now i regret that. I couldn't control how i felt then but i wish someone had told me not to worry.

If IRCC can do a 27K draw for CEC candidates, who's to say FSW won't get a miracle like that? Once FSW resumes, just a few back-to-back draws could bring the cut-off down. Please don't lose sleep over it - have patience, and stay prepared. :)

I also want to thank the members on this group who already have their ITA for all their incredible advice and support. I am also in the early stages of that journey and hoping to get some more advice from the people who've already gone through this:
  1. I got my ITA but now my passport number has changed. my PCC and medical will be on the new passport. But ITA, PNP, IELTS and WES are on old passport. Should i change my passport details on the initial form we fill on ee portal after getting the ITA?
  2. My medical is scheduled for 23rd Aug, and the results will be ready after 15 calendar days. Can i submit my application after taking the medical on the 23rd or do i have to wait for the results? The panel doc will send results directly to IRCC via e-medical anyway and i won't get a copy (unless i pay for it).
  3. Once I start filling the form after ITA, can i still decline it if i don't get my PCC and medicals in time?
  4. Once I submit my application, can i withdraw it and re-enter the express entry pool?

Thank you for your help in advance! Any guidance is truly appreciated. :)

I believe so too. The harsh truth is, it will be easier for officers to navigate through late 2020 and 2021 applications than 2019 applications. All of a sudden, the simplest application in 2019 is now a complex one. Some of the guys might need to do medicals again, collect PCCs and might also need to be checked for security again. Needless to say that some family composition would have changed as well. I just hope these officers would be lenient with the kind of requests they dole out.

If there's anyone from 2019 with expired PCCs or medicals, I'd advise that you get this done and submit via webform. One thing is certain - IRCC will finalize outland applications this year. Try to be proactive; to give the officers the chance to finalize your applications in a touch 'n' go style.
How do you know if PCC is expired?
There is no validity mentioned in my PCC files.

If had an AOR I would've wanted to land as soon as possible even in winter because I'd be afraid to hear the borders getting closed again because some cheeseburger variant is so contagious blah blah. Covid is a flu now thanks to the vaccines but we never know.
This is solid advice. I Remember saying on the old thread a few months back that I had no intention of landing in Canada this year, especially not in a snowy winter I am not accustomed to...but at the rate at which things have gone and are going I just cant take that chance anymore. Soon as I get a COPR im outty! Perhaps a soft landing is a better option to consider...thats if its still permissible by IRCC during these unpredictable times? Maybe somebody on here can confirm this...And then still, you risk not being allowed back into Ca. with your PR status come spring time. Screwed either way. Itll have to be a one way ticket I suppose.

Hello..Here are my suggestions for you.

Q1- Your ITA and PNP are attached to your profile and not your passport. Therefore a change in passport details does not matter. Also, WES does not contain passport details. Unless maybe their format has changed. I just checked mine to confirm. As for the IELTS, I am not sure it matters as your picture and DOB are on the results. You can explain your old passport expiring in your LOE and attach the biodata page for peace of mind. You would however need to update your EE profile with your new passport details since the old one is no longer valid.

Q2-You do not need the “results” of your medical exam to submit your application. The clinic will give you a form with your test details when you are done. That is what should be uploaded in the proof of medical section for documents. Results will be uploaded to the IRCC portal for it by your test clinic when ready. You don’t need to worry about it.

Q3 Part on medicals already explained above. Not sure what country you are in but since you have 60 days to submit your application, I think you should have your PCC by then. If not, you can explain any missing PCCs in your LOE and work on getting them ASAP. Your application (if you are outland) would probably not be touched for a few weeks after submission anyway.

Q4- I have no idea why you would want to do that after explaining what you went through to get the ITA in the first place.

Hope my two cents helps and good luck with your application!

Thank you very much for your advice! Super grateful :) :)

Noted on 1,2 and 3. This is very helpful!

Question 4 was only in case i realised there's a mistake AFTER i have made my submission. My PNP is valid for 5 months only now, and if my application gets rejected after those 5 months, that's the end of it for me. Therefore, i wondered what would happen if I made a mistake in my application (obviously I will be VERY careful, but just super worried and thinking of worst case scenarios) and if i will be given the chance to correct it.

The memo was encouraging for me because it goes to show that the delay in processing existing apps was a thought out and logical step, not an arbitrary decision. Which means that even if it was extended for another 90 days, it should end in August. Hoping for some good news before 1 year of my AOR!

1. Change your passport details, no problem at all. The golden rule is to have a valid passport (6months or more) on file during submission of eAPR.

2. Don't wait for the results. Just upload the slip they will give you at the clinic and submit your application.

3. You have 60days to submit your eAPR. I think that's enough time to get the PCC and medicals. But if you couldn't get the medicals done before that time, you can upload a letter of explanation in the medical placeholder and IRCC will send you another request later. PCC is very important though, little exemptions for that.

4. You can withdraw your application anytime but you will need to contact IRCC via webform to do that. You can't withdraw your application like we could on OINP website. Why would you want to withdraw your application though?
