As long as you arrive in Canada after 12:01 A.M. EDT on 9th August, you won't need hotel stay.

If you are vaccinated with the Canada-approved vaccines, you don't need to quarantine, but you still need to provide a quarantine plan in case you test positive. You still need to do pre-boarding PCR test and may be selected for random testing on landing.

After August 9, Govt-mandated hotel quarantine will no longer exist. Unvaccinated travellers would need to complete 14-day quarantine in their final destination.

All travellers unvaccinated (except those that recovered from COVID in the last 180 days) would still need to do preboarding, Day 1 and Day 8 tests.

I have no idea what the 6 Sept date you mentioned is about.

classes are going to start from 7 Sept
so to arrive, on 6 Sept a day before

but as you said there will be a possibility of positive test after arrival, so we need to quarantine, so it's better to arrive before 22 aug

I am not vaccinated yet. But I am landing in Toronto on 10 sept. Can you tell me what is Quarantine plan exactly? My fri will rent a room in Toronto to share with a family, can I just go and stay there after checking out at the airport? Thank

You need a place where you can stay apart from others (separate living space and bathroom/restroom facilities), unless you travelled together. You can't stay with a friend in a room they already share.
