May be your eligibility review started in Ottawa and then file might have moved to Abu Dhabi for review.. Most of the sds cases go to Ottawa and then transfer to Abu Dhabi for review.. There isn’t any fixed pattern but if your eligibility review started in May, it should have been completed in June.. They usually take 1 week per file to pass or fail the eligibility.. July doesn’t make sense.

When you call IRCC, it goes straight to their main call centre in Canada.. So, of course Canada.. and while calling you have to pretend that you are calling from inside Canada.. and for that, you will need to buy a Canadian number online..

When you call ircc, they will help you only if your application is being processed in Canada. I called them, they told me to call Abu Dhabi office.
and you don't have to pretend, tell the truth "you are calling from outside Canada using a virtual number" but they never ask you how you call them.

Why don’t you order gcms notes ? I have seen people have passport request pending on GCMS notes. And IRCC don’t bother to give them their final decision unless the applicant raises multiple webforms.

It depends on the call agent.. I called from my home country and the agent gave me complete status.. However, when I called second time after 3 weeks the agent refused to give info.. So better try your luck.

I ordered GCMS notes twice.. eligibility status was "Recommend Interview".

And what about online portal? Is there any notification for eligibility interview?

The agent didn’t ask me but a consultant told me to always say that you are inside Canada, otherwise the agent will disconnect the call. The address doesn’t matter even if your permanent address is of your home town, you can be on a visit or any other type of visa.

Interview thing isn’t good at all.. That’s y they are delaying your decision..

Btw I don’t recommend calling IRCC over and over again bcoz every call history is attached with your file, like raising a webform.. GCMS notes also has a calling history..

You’ll get your decision by today mostly. Considering what usually happens through that office. Or maybe you will be in the waiting pool. But if you have submitted your application for above 40 days now then your decision is today or max tomorrow. Good luck.

Glad to know this. It sounds a good move from Abu Dhabi office, they have awoken now
