No I didn’t get a tracking message that it got to Accra. The only message I got was that it’s been forwarded to AVO for further processing however I got counterfoil on the 19th.

okay.
It's important to note that the tracking platform isn't always up to date. There are instances where applicants did not receive any tracking info till their stamped passport was returned.
The only thing left now is for the passports and documents to be sent back.

Yes I strongly believe so. I even paid for SMS so I will be up to date be still not. Was surprised to see the counterfoil cos I called VFS and I was told I would get a notification that my passport has been received in Accra the moment they start to work on it. Anyways we have waited long but the tail end waiting is even more frustrating cos now I am totally shut down can’t do anything else. Just seeing my wife on my mind. But to God be the glory the wait will surely be over very soon. Will everyone best of luck

Hi All,
I also got my application approved on July 19th.
Passport Request-25th June
Passport sent to DHL- 25th June
DHL to VFS Lagos- 28th June
VFS to Accra- 8th July (it took VFS 2weeks to send to Accra- Apparently appears as though they wait and batch these documents before sending)
Received in Accra- 9th July
Counterfoil update-19th July

Does anyone have a good idea of how long it would take for our stamped passports to get back to Lagos?
It’s taking like forever :(

Hi guys,
Please would appreciate it if someone who has send their passport directly to Accra from Nigeria to pls reply. Thanks

1) Please can I send my passport directly from Lagos to the high commision of Canada (Accra Office) or MUST I send it through the VFS office in Lagos?

2) If I can send to Accra, pls what is the correct address to send to? Is it the Canada High Commision or VFS Accra (Even though I am in Lagos)?

3) Any idea/rough estimate of the cost sending and also receiving passport (cos I think I saw somewhere that you pay both ways.. not sure)?

I wish I could help, sent mine to VFS Lagos, hopefully someone who sent to Ghana will reply, and also I don’t think you can send to the high commission you can only send to VFS Ghana. Be sure before you take action, and if you ain’t certain just send to VFS Lagos and be patient, but all the same wait for who has an idea on this to reply.

Best of luck.

SUBMITTING OF PASSPORTS TO VFS

NOTE THAT YOU CAN SUBMIT YOUR DOCUMENTS TO ANY VFS OF YOUR CHOICE WORLDWIDE (as long as your ppr letter does not specify), AND STILL GET YOUR COPR.

In fact, most VFS offices outside of Africa are a lot faster than that of Lagos, Abuja, Accra, and you can contact them directly for their process.

However, we have detailed the steps for VFS Lagos, Abuja, Accra, below should you decide to submit through them:

Gather all documents required by IRCC and VFS:

1. International Passport (for PA and all accompanying spouse/dependents)

2. 2 Passport Photographs(PA/spouse and dependents)

in IRCC fomat , 1 passport should be stamped at the back with date and signature of the photo studio, then you write your name and date of birth too. The other passport should be plain at the back i.e not stamped.

3. Passport Request Letter
This should be printed and stapled together

4. Height and Eye Colour Chart
This comes with the ppr letter too, fill this for PA and every accompanying spouse/ dependent

5. IMM008 (ONLY) for those with a change in family composition . If no change you can ignore or write a brief letter to confirm no change in family composition.

6. 2 CVAC form (according to your Biometrics receipt , if you have one biometric receipt with names of all family member, fill just 2 as the PA, if the biometrics receipt was given separately for each family member, then 2 CVAC form for each member)Fill the applicable pages .
Ensure number and email will be that of the PA.

7. 2 photocopy of every family member’s International Passport.

8. Biometrics Slip to avoid paying for transmission fees. It can only be used for the vfs office you did your biometrics, if not you have to pay applicable fees below
the biometrics slip and the passport that was originally attached to it should be attached to the CVAC forms

9. Proof of Transmission fee payment (N7,430 per person).

Make payment to:
Account name: Canadian Logistics Collection Account
Bank: Sterling bank
Account: Number:0065165839

Transmission fee will only be paid if you are sending passports to another vfs office other than that you did your biometrics also for children not added for biometrics originally.
Payment can be done by transfer or in person bank payment (just ensure you have proof of payment attached)
Bulk sum payment Advised

Put all documents in one envelope and proceed to DHL or any courier of your choice and pay for a 2 way courier (return)
