Hello Friends,

we submitted our work permit under startup visa 9 months ago but we haven't have any result.
I think WP is linked to AOR permanent and until we don't AOR , we can't get work permit.
Do you have any experience?

No, these are wholly different from each other! Let's give an example, one of my friends who has got the WP and already in Canada to run her business even though she has just got the temporary file No only.

@ARMAH - this is really unfortunate and shows the extent of the problem.
As far as I know Permanent AOR or PR application progress has nothing to do with the WP. SUV PR is processed by Sydney, NS office and SUV WP is processed by VAC based on your country.

Here's the timeline of my SUV process:

1. Work permit application under SUV submitted to IRCC on January 7th, 2021
2. SUV PR application sent by mail to IRCC on February 12, 2021. Application package received by IRCC on Feb 16, 2021.
3. SUV Work Permit application approved on March 2nd, 2021.
4. Temporary AOR received on March 5th, 2021.
5. Nothing after that...

I noticed my Work permit application was way faster than the processing times on the website. So my lawyer submitted a follow-up enquiry to IRCC that required us to submit again the requirement to have the visa emitted without the need to leave Canada. It was supposed to arrive in 3-4 weeks after March 8th, but nothing arrived. So three months later, my lawyer contacted IRCC to see what was going on with my work permit issuance. An IRCC Agent told him that they'd got our request, but there are many delays and backlogs in processing requests.

The agent has sent an internal notice (I am always skeptical with these) to the responsible office to process our request asap. But after 1/half month... still nothing.

Has anyone been struggling with the same issue (regarding WP), and has it been delivered to your mail in this period of time?

I really don't know what it's happening these days. My friend applied last year (January 2020) and received his PR SUV in November. But his work permit was only approved in September (9 months). Processing times are not accurate at all.

I'm in Canada now on work permit while I didn't get even a permanent number for my PR application. PR and work permit are processed in different offices and in different procedures.

Yes it definitely is a movement but I can't do many of business stuff in Canada because they want me to have permanent residency.
Weird and frustrating.

Yes, we have filled out webform and the VAC responded that"you are in queue for processing but the application proceed in low capacity, please be patient" !!!!!!!!!!

Yes, that's correct. It was something incredible as well. I think it also depends on the designated organization you applied with.
He was here in Canada as a Visitor when he applied and stayed here the whole time.

I'm not an expert, so I don't know the different types of Start-up Visa Program.

Why dont u apply for wp and come to Canada to run your startup?

Why do I need it without a PR? I run a huge online business and relocating it to Canada should be reasonable.
Ok, what do you suggest, relocate right now, employ local people, pay high taxes, and then get no PR? They can reject for any reason or even without a reason. Now, the timeframe is almost 3 years! So 3 years I should keep the business in Canada, waste a lot of money for nothing, continuously renew contact with the incubator.
Also, without PR people won't deal with you. And overall, that's crazy.
