I applied aug 2020... in March they started processing PR applicationYou just applied. 1 yr processing is the goal although due to covid it has been taking longer for many people.
Oh ok. If you applied in August there will likely be delays in additional delays over the 1 year. Would order GCMS notes.I applied aug 2020... in March they started processing PR application
If they take more than year what options do I have? Or just have to wait until they made DMOh ok. If you applied in August there will likely be delays in additional delays over the 1 year. Would order GCMS notes.
You have to wait. It is not uncommon to go over 1 year especially in some countries. Due to covid you are likely to go over the 1 year. If your application takes much longer than all applications then you should contact your MP. That would be more like 2+ years. I would order GCMS notes if you want to see where you are in the process. If they take more than year what options do I have? Or just have to wait until they made DM
It's fine for your spouse to apply for PR on his own. He just need to mention you in the info (and as you are already a PR, you are not his "dependent" in the application). Check with the specific steam in the forum. I am pretty sure others have applied with spouses that are Canadian or PR of Canada.Hi, I have a very unique situation. Would really appreciate if somebody can help guide.
I am a permanent resident of Canada since 2019 but returned to India later for my marriage. I am in a family way and cannot move alone to Canada to apply for spouse PR. In such situation , we were considering that my spouse file for his PR application separately i.e. a new PR application on his own.
Is it ok to file a fresh application for PR even if one of the partner is already a permanent resident? Will CIC accept that? Please let me know.
Thanks.

Are you compliant with your own RO or will you be compliant when you want to return to Canada? You must also consider this. If you have been out of Canada since 2019 you may have already been out of Canada for 2 years if not more. When did you land and how much time have you spent in Canada? Will you be able to meet the 730 days in Canada within 5 years from your landing date?Hi, I have a very unique situation. Would really appreciate if somebody can help guide.
