you can do it by yourself without a legal representative. create an account and choose the type of application then complete the required forms only plus the photos. the supporting documents and the fees then submit. If you are unclear with how to apply using this new portal then it is better to mail it. Although it is much better to submit online.
Are you already a convention refugee/protected person ?

This is not correct.
All In canada Permanent Residency from Protected Class will need to be mailed to Mississauga. This portal helps you to confirm you are In Canada, updated your address, upload photo, or if there is any issue with your permanent residence application they will email you the link, and you sign in and correspond with IRCC..

Thanks for the link. I wish you could have it shared along with the other link. I am not here to confuse anyone, and I asked a consultant if digital portal is live and unfortunately he was not aware but he's aware of the IRB online portal. Anyway, it is cleared now

I applied for PR through mail last year so I will not get to use the online application which I think can result in applications being processed faster..
Exactly, I also applied for PR one month before digital go live. I mailed to Missisauga and received AOR after 3weeks. If I knew, I could have waited. My bad
Yeah, I wish they had this online application since the beginning... do you think people who apply online will get their PR faster?
I suppose yes it will reduce turn around time. Hopefully we can have separate thread for those applied online and I guess after a year it will give indication in term of processing time vs paper based application. This go along with Minister of Immigration announcement that they will speed up application for the protected person to reunite with their family. I think, with online application, officers can pull the file from home, other location (out of Mississauga )and process.
