Resumption of paper tests?

Has anyone received any information about resumption of paper based tests anytime soon?
Ontario is coming out of lockdown and pretty much almost fully reopened now with Phase 3 from today.
Any news from provinces that have "reopened" before us?

Alberta has lifted all covid restrictions on July 1, we didn't hear anything yet. Don't get your hope too high with IRCC if you don't want a heart attack.

I don't expect all in-person services to be made available again at least for another 2 - 3 months. While there is a chance they could re-open something like passport submission at passport offices, I'm not very optimistic about in-person test or oath ceremonies anytime in the next 2 - 3 months, at least. I hope I am wrong on this one though because holding in-person AND online test & oath will greatly help in reducing the backlog.

doubt it will happen soon. I called IRCC about 2 weeks ago and they said for now there hasn't been any conversation about resumption of in-person ceremonies and tests

I think not since online test and oath are saving alot of resources and time for both IRCC and clients, this online system will probably stay for ever.
Only thing that gona resume will be in-person Passport services IMO.

Correct. And no need to travel (and that too with whole family for some) hence less expense and time.
