Hello,

My boyfriends student permit has been rejected twice in the past year amidst covid. I have been in Canada on a study permit for 2 years. Despite the rejection we had planned to marry within this time frame and he still hasn't received his visa, if we apply now on a dependent visa after getting married, is there a chance he can still be rejected?

any help would be great.

Yes, there is a chance. Getting married and then applying right away for open work permit will raise suspicions of whether it is a genuine marriage. This is especially true since your boyfriend has two refusals for a study permit.

I had a baby 3 months after submitting my study permit application, thankfully my application has been approved. how do i travel with my infant since my application has already been approved and he wasn't included in the initial application.

Your baby needs a visitor visa and then written authorization to travel. Also start looking into daycare since there are waiting lists and it is very expensive depending where you live.

I heard visitors visa is taking a while to process, is it possible to apply for study permit as well? who should give the written authorization?

A 3 month infant doesn’t apply for a study permit. When you apply for the visitor visa, there is a webform for travel authorization.
