@legalfalcon Can you see the above posts and tell me if optimistically in the coming days if I get the PPR request I have heard it takes about 3-4 weeks for COPR to come and in that case the COPR will be issued only for the time of my extended medicals right which is in Oct end? Should I do medicals in advance or should I just wait for them. It's been so long as in Oct end in 2020 they updated the status for me as Approved and in Action Items "Please send RFV letter to PA, residing in USA". How much time they can take from here on?

The COPR and PR visa is usually issued for 6 months, or until the passport / meds expire, which ever is earlier. However, the visa officer's have a lot of discretion to extend the validity of COPR / PR visa.

IF you get the meds done, they will be valid for 1 year from the day they are passed.

In most cases for US residents the COPR is issued by CPC Ottawa and takes 3-5 weeks.

@legalfalcon Upon closer looks at my GCMS notes I can see under Finalizing Documents they have issued a PPR and COPR and can even see a visa number (upper and lower line details) and can also see a print queue. Its been all on the passport I submitted though in Status it is stated Not Started. My passport is expiring in Feb 2022 so that is why I renewed my passport in USA and also informed IRCC and provided them a copy of my new Passport through WebForm. Will this update on Passport can create delays or issue a new Visa? That will take them too much time I guess. Can this create more waiting time?

Also in my GCMS Notes under CORRESPONDENCE section in OUTGOING following status is there for OUTGOING: 1

and then there are just more general details.

I am thinking that in the final stage they had to send the RFV Letter but for some reason everything is generated but they did not sent RFV letter maybe due to pandemic and travel restrictions at that time in USA. Is my evaluation on right path or can be anything more. I see no reason why they are not sending PPR after so long even the application has been approved 8-9 month back.

I just received an email from ircc stating that because I am inland applicant I don't need another medical exam. Did anyone else inland receive this? I'm wondering if it was a bulk email or my first update in 18 months..

Has anyone's COPR expired a few days after 21st June? I barely got a few days after that and could not travel with such short notice. Also can't wait for people to start getting their PPRs and re-issued COPRs!

Renewing and updating your passport does not delay the processing at all.

@legalfalcon I got one question more Sir. So I have a Visitor Visa as well and I can travel to Canada also as my sister is living there. If I go to Canada on a visitor basis and tell them that I am in Canada right does that help the case to speed up PPR or COPR process or anything good happen as I will be already in Canada for lets say 4-5 months? Also a question regarding GCMS Notes if my friend, PR of Canada can she apply GCMS notes individually on my behalf with my consent form? That should be perfectly fine right?

Hello @legalfalcon , I have a quick question. I am awaiting PPR since Nov 2019. Now as things are getting normal I am hoping we will get the PPR soon.
I am planning to India for next two months. Do I need to inform them about the trip. Also If I receive the PPR while I am in India ,can I process from there ?
Could you help me answer these please ?
Thanks !!
