Citizenship Application - Do we need to apply together with family? or individual (online) applications allowed?

There are a few threads seeking to compare online application (individual) vs paper based application (family). Here is the link of the threads

Online application appears a bit more convenient than paper-based. However, online application is only possible for individual applications (not family applications) at this time.

I am married, but want to submit only my application at this time, and would love to use online application. But one of my friend said that if someone is married, the family has to apply together. They cannot apply individually (and thus, not online). I tried looking for a rule about it, but not able to find one.

Could anyone please guide if a married person is allowed make an individual online application? Thanks!

Your friend provided you with misinformation. Yes, you can make an individual application online. There isn't a rule that says families have to apply together.

I also want to apply, but I have to wait a while longer because I can't meet some criteria. @Regan
